Ecclesiastical Calendar Links
There are many different resources available on the Internet with
information about the Catholic Calendar and the Church year. No one
of us will be able to answer all your needs, but one or more of us
should be able to help. Please visit these other pages which contain
a variety of useful information.
- Ecclesiastical Calendar
- http://www.smart.net/~mmontes/ec-cal.html - Dr. Marcos J. Montes has
created a wonderful page for finding the dates of moveable feasts for a given year.
He also includes a good deal of research information and history of the Christian
calendar.
- Mateusz
- http://mateusz.logon.bydgoszcz.pl/ - Unfortunately, we can't read Polish, but
this is a wonderfully designed site, and has daily mass readings in Polish in the
czytania directory. Just enter http://mateusz.logon.bydgoszcz.pl/czytania/YYWW.htm,
where YY is the 2-digit year and WW is the 2-digit week (i.e.
http://mateusz.logon.bydgoszcz.pl/czytania/9936.htm).
- ROMCAL - A Roman Catholic Liturgical Calendar Generator
- http://www.andrew.cmu.edu/user/tfm/romcal/romcal-source.html - Kenneth G. Bath's
program to generate Roman Catholic Liturgical calendars (Unix system recommended).
- Liturgy of the Hours
- http://listserv.american.edu/catholic/other/church.calendar - A list of the
appropriate dates for the Seasons of the Church year, including the lectionary cycle,
for the years 1993-2010.
- The Catholic Calendar Leap Year Page
- http://www.easterbrooks.com/personal/calendar/leapyear.html - Our own guide to leap years, with a handy tool to calculate
whether a given year is a leap year and why. Includes historical information about Pope Gregory's changes to the calendar.
